Bruce Paine has experience in a range of guitar performance situations from private house concerts to more prestigious events. He is an alumni of the University of Auckland School of Music, an auditioned Radio New Zealand recording artist and was a semi-finalist in the 1995 Shell Darwin International Guitar Festival Competition. He is known for his engaging guitar performances, his original guitar compositions and several compact disk releases of his work.
