A collaborative effort that's been in progress since 2012 involves voice and guitar and several of my latest solo guitar compositions. Each piece was inspired by a selection of old UK folk song lyrics, and I've enjoyed the challenge of creating a style of guitar music that is a progressive step from my previous work. The aim is to perform the works and to ultimately make a CD including unaccompanied and accompanied singing, as well as the guitar solos mentioned.
Update 2015. The premiere performance of all five new guitar works took place during a concert entitled Songs of Longing that took place at St Michael's church in Remuera, Auckland on April 22nd 2014.

Initial recordings have been made however the CD is on hold until further progress can be made. In the meantime I have been involved in the writing of songs to help mark the WW1 Gallipoli 100th commemorations. These are to be performed at a concert on the evening of November 21st 2015 at historic place Alberton and further concerts to be announced.
