Bruce Paine's Tua Marina Sonata was inspired by the writing and music of New Zealand Composer Douglas Lilburn.
This work was commissioned by Canberra based guitarist John Couch with funding from Creative New Zealand.
The world premiere recording of Tua Marina Sonata has been made by John Couch and released on his 2022 album Whenua o te Manu alonside works by Vincent Lindsey-Clark, Chris Norton, Peter Leask & others.
